New verb to ‘Gizmo’ added to English language

ShowGizmo Gizmologists

‘Gizmo’ (Vb) – to search for and access information and people using a smartphone device in order to get better results from attending or otherwise participating in an event – trade show, conference, exhibition, festival or other large event.

First known usage at CIO 2010 New Zealand Summit July 22nd 2010 by a sponsor to describe the act of searching for a particular contact using the ShowGizmo platform.  ‘I’ll just “Gizmo” that!’

ShowGizmo has introduced a whole new way of thinking, with the practice being referred to as Gizmology by CIO attendees and practitioners as Gizmologists.

SmartShow is delighted to have added a new layer of richness to our wonderful, expressive language.
